In connection with providing services to Correctional Service Canada (CSC) Bridges of Canada Inc. is hiring a Regional Director for the Pacific Region to serve the religious and spiritual needs of those incarcerated:
Full-Time, Regional Director for the Pacific Region
Full-time M-F 40 hours per week
$55,000 - $65,000 Per Year Salary
Anticipated Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Positions in Atlantic and Quebec are bilingual (Intermediate Level on Oral Language Testing Ability Required. Reading and Writing is not required).

DUTIES
-
Provide regional oversight for all chaplains in your region including training, supervision, task approval, mentoring, and various deadline-driven administrative tasks such as:

Collecting, reviewing and correcting Indicator reports

Reviewing and approving schedules
-
Approving travel
-
Approving expenses
-
Collaborate with National Director of Chaplaincy as needed for regional oversight.

Remain in contact through email, phone calls and site visits with all chaplains in the region.

Engage in continuous recruitment for open positions and/or backup positions
-
Maintain regular contact with CSC Regional Chaplain.

All directors must be placed on at least one call up.

Must complete all CSC required training required of chaplains by deadline

Be available to serve as backup chaplain as needed

Job performance evaluations
-
Ensure any issues or concerns are recorded in an incident report so that coaching may take place.

Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
EXPERIENCE:
-
Proficient in Microsoft office-word and excel.
-
Supervisory experience is preferred.
-
Minimum of three years’ experience in ongoing/continuous religious/spiritual serviceprovision as a qualified, professional, official representative of his/her faith or spiritual community (QPOR).
EDUCATION
-
Degree in religious studies or comparable discipline. Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies or comparable discipline from an accredited college or university preferred.

Ordination or licensure by a recognized ecclesiastical body is required.
