They cater to the spiritual needs of about 15,000 inmates across 41 institutions, supporting a range of faiths including Rastafarian, Wiccan, Buddhist, Sikh, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Roman Catholic, and Protestant. This service plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation and support of federal offenders in Canada.
Since April 2015, Bridges of Canada has partnered with Correctional Services Canada on the Faith Community Reintegration Projects (FCRP), which have grown from their original locations to serve communities across Canada. In 2025, the program expanded significantly, extending its reach and services to additional regions nationwide. The FCRP focuses on supporting the reintegration of individuals post-incarceration by working with faith communities to provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and practical support. These services are grounded in the values and traditions of a wide range of faiths, helping individuals reconnect with community and purpose as they transition back into society.
