In Loving Memory of
Michelle Lynn Seymour (1981 – 2025)
It is with deep sadness that we remember the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Michelle Lynn (Shupe) Seymour, who went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 4, 1981 in Fredericton, NB, Michelle lived a life filled with love, strength, and compassion. Her greatest joy was her family — her daughters Kathryn and Olivia, whom she loved unconditionally. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Michelle will always be remembered for her bright smile, her laughter that could fill a room, and her kindness that left lasting impressions. Her faith in God was steady and genuine, and she carried that faith into every part of her life and work.
At Bridges of Canada, Michelle’s compassion and dedication shone through everything she did. She served with humility and purpose, uplifting those around her and offering encouragement wherever it was needed. Her work — along with earlier contributions to Seed the Need and Prison Christian Ministries — reflected her lifelong calling to serve others and share God’s love in practical ways.
Outside of her service, Michelle had a deep affection for animals and was especially fond of her beloved pets, Penny and Ruby, who went before her.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Richard and Carolyn Shupe; daughters Kathryn and Olivia (and their father Bill Seymour); brother Robert Shupe (Nicole); sister Ann Stewart (Larry); nieces and nephew Kristen, Victoria (Jordan), Isabella, Karlee, Maeley, and Joseph (Jessica); as well as extended family Mike Vitelli and his sons Tyson and Nathan.
Michelle was predeceased by her twin brother Michael Joseph, her grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
“In the same way, I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born,” says the Lord.
– Isaiah 66:9 (NCV)
Michelle’s presence at Bridges of Canada will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
In honor of her memory, donations may be made to the SPCA or Seed the Need, causes that reflect her heart for compassion and care.
